  1. Classroom of the Future:In this classroom there will be multiple electronics devices provide in the classroom. There would have notebook for every seat in the classroom. High tech projector, lamination and printer. Large projector and screen to display teaching materials. The table and the chair in the class must be light and steady and comfortable for every students in the classroom. Instructor in the classroom will not just stand and write on the board any more in the future instructor would move around the classroom and involve with students activities. Every classroom will have witeless ultra with hig band in order to access through all multiple broadband in the classroom. The Air Conditioner in the classroom would be independent control and very quiet in order not to disturb student in the classroom.
i think it a good idea if we have the right people who are educated and have enough knowledge about using this high technology equipment which need high maintenance.

  3. Did you know??
This video clip is eye opening. It shows us how the world is moving fast and upgrading exponentially. It talks about how advanced we are that we are already preparing students for jobs that don’t even exist today. It also shows how internet and websites have connected the world. The technology has become the major part of our lives. People are always connected. It also talks about how the number of users and related devices of the internet expands exponentially. It also expresses the expansion of information, which is also exponential. The information also is updated so quickly that things become outdated very easily. Things that are created today are exceeding human intelligence. It completes with saying, “WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?”
It’s a very good eye opener, making people aware of what’s going on today.

  4. Who should pay for online news?
They sent a survey to all its subscribers asking how they felt about paying for the online content. The result of the survey is that New York Times newspaper is planning on charging $5.00 for all their articles, news and other material provided on their website which is now free. Newspaper publishers in the past have made huge amount of loss due to people searching for news online. In an article in NewYork Times, Associated Press executives say they are concerned about news forums around the Web, including major search engines and aggregators like the Drudge Report, that link to news articles without paying licensing fees.
The question remains to whether the New York times or any other media control their accessibility by having people pay for the online content

A contextual perspective of traditional Native American distance online learning in a Tribal college
    by Fire, Nancy H.,

When learning in natural settings, Native Americans for centuries have used their Native Ways of Knowing to access and process information. These Indigenous learners bring their social, cultural, and historical contexts with them to new learning situations. The process of learning through technology as told from the perspectives of Native American learners has been largely unknown (Tyro, 2004). Previous multi-cultural studies of online learning have found that online learning is not culturally neutral and often represents the worldview of the dominant culture and the instructional designer (Chen, Mashhadi, Ang, & Harkrider, 1999; Smith & Ayers, 2006).

This single-site descriptive case study conducted at one of the 34 U.S. Tribal colleges provides further understanding of distance online learning experiences of traditional Native American adult online learners as well as the experiences of the college in preparing and facilitating online learning for remote, rural Native learners. The study, conducted according to Indigenous research guidelines, found that Native American students learn effectively within online learning environments when they work with an instructor who models NWOK and courses that are designed to enable their Native Ways of Knowing. The study also found that success depends on adequate access to technology, computer literacy, an effective and user-friendly learning management system, support and mentoring.

The study raises new questions for additional research. This study indicated that the Native students experienced an emergence of empowerment and ability to express their own "voice" through participation in online coursework. Further, learning outside the walls of the classroom gave the learners the opportunity to integrate their learning with their heritage and day-to-day lives. Further research is required to fully understand these learner experiences.

This study provides evidence that distance online learning can increase access to education to a greater number of Native learners, therefore providing new educational paths towards economic recovery for Native communities and Tribes. There are implications for workforce development through online education for Native Americans living on remote reservations.

Title: 21st century learning tools for the classroom

American teenagers today are utilizing the interactive capabilities of the internet as they create and share their own media creations. Fully half of all teens and 57% of teens who use the internet could be considered content creators. They have created a blog, wiki or webpage, posted original artwork, photography, stories or videos online.

There are over 70 million blogs and counting. The blogosphere is over 60 times bigger than it was 3 years ago, but
Do you know 8 out of 10 people do not know what a Blog is?
Do you know 9 out of 10 people do not know what a Wiki is?
Do you know 9 out of 10 people do not know what a Podcast is?
Do you know what YouTube is?
Do you know China will soon become the number one English speaking country in the world?
Do you know 1 out of every 8 couples married in the US last year met online?
We are living in exponential times so
    1. we need to teach our students to deal with massive amounts of information.
    2. we need to teach out students global communication, starting with Kindergarten.
    3. we need to teach our students to be self-directed and understand how to organize more and more of their own learning.
    4. we cannot avoid learning these tools. We cannot walk away from this.
But do our students know how to deal with the massive amounts of information? Have we changed our teaching methods to reflect new technology?
Do our students know how to communicate globally/
Do our students understand how to be self-directed and how to organize their own learning?
The fact is our young people are woefully under prepared for the demands of today’s workplace. We cannot solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. So we should shift happens.
