It could be a great source for people who seeks opportunity for continuous education. As we can see from the website structure that each main group touchbases on internet users of all ages.

    "Teachers Network’s Core Purpose

Most of the web content is managed due to the corporate - social needs, but what is most impressive for this website is it also connects people with the same interests to share their view as in "Teacher's Network Leadership Institute"

THis kind of community, not only serves as a center for people to share their views, but can be a source of many other innovations for the field. It's interactive updates on online courses and surveys can be beneficial for people seeking opprotunities for their distance learning and career development also.

  5. Topic: New map shows 99 percent of Earth's terrain
This is about the development about a new map of the world created by The American space agency and Japan's Ministry of Economy, which shows the earth more clearly than ever. The new map consists of 1.3 million images taken by NASA's Terra satellite that have been pieced together to form a picture of the planet. Pictures have also been taken by the Japanese using the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer, or ASTER. Even though this map is considered highly efficient, however, NASA is up to creating an even better topological map of the earth.

Comment: This website belongs to the Ministry of Education of Singapore showing the teachers network in Singapore. It has different sources for teachers and also for learners. It has updated stuff about education in Singapore that may include a seminar or upcoming conference. It provides e-Resources for teacher, a page where teachers can share, calendar of events, etc. It is a very good website for creating a community for teachers to express themselves and share their thoughts. It also provides teachers with resources making things easier to be accessed and teachers can be more efficient.

A comparison of student satisfaction and outcomes in distance and traditional education
    by Conroy, Jamie M.,

In order to measure student satisfaction in distance education and traditional education a survey on student satisfaction was given to students in similar distance education and traditional education courses at Union County College. In addition, an evaluation of grades was done in the same courses to measure the students' outcomes. A positive correlation was found between the GPA of students in the distance education courses and the accumulated degree credits. It was also found that the cumulative GPA of students in traditional education courses was significantly higher than their GPA in distance education courses.
